Anniversary Break

We went away on Monday to Santa Fe de Antioquia, about 1 hour 45 minutes away, but it could be in another Country, I have been there once before, and on that occasion said, never again. It is very hot there, and air conditioning is a necessity.

We stayed at:

As the name suggests, it is in the Campo (Countryside) within walking distance of town. It is a mini resort, owned by a Colombian Family, who live in the US, and have done for 20 years, they keep a big house in the middle of the complex, and other family members use it and the facilities. It was a good idea, beautiful setting, all expenses paid for by the Punters!

En suite rooms /  Family suites are laid out in a random pattern, around the grounds, and a nice touch, is that they all have names, and not numbers, however if like me, your memory is not so good, you have to rely on your Partner to remember, when ordering items against your room.
Our room!
There are excellent facilities, including a mini gym, sauna, turkish bath, jacuzzi, Restaurant, Bar, Childrens Play area, swimming pool with baby area incorporated, all for the price lower than you would pay in a Hotel. The spec is excellent, and Staff are constantly cleaning both the buildings and the grounds, and friendly, although there are no English Speakers.
Other than a quick walk into town the first afternoon for a supply of water, we spent the time lazing by the pool, in the blazing sun, ( yes, you guessed it, I am a bit like a tomato at the moment!) and returned home today, thoroughly relaxed.
There is not much more I can add to that, except to say we had a great time!
