First we had the septic trap giving us problems for a month, then yesterday, the Water Company having cut the water for repairs, turned it back on full power, instead of gradually as usual, and have cracked a joint in the cold water inlet to the sink in our bathroom, I have tried an epoxy repair, but it didn't take, so it looks as if I am going to have to break a tile on the wall, to get at the pipe, as the joint goes into it.
Then this morning the waste pipe from the shower was blocked, but I think that has cleared itself, Marcela heard an odd noise after her shower, and everything now seems to be working. I thought it was her hair in the waste, but I have been out, and bought a snake, I managed to get the drain cover off in the shower room floor, and the snake went through and back without any trace of hair! I have put a bottle of chemicals down just to ensure there isn't a problem further along the pipe.
I should then have got stuck in to the water leak, but the weather is so unpredictable, so whilst the sun is out, I have cut the lawn, pruned the fruit trees, picked a bowl of oranges, and cut the front hedge, I think that will do for today, I'll get back to the leak tomorrow, when it will probably be raining.
The first three years of my Blog follow my journey settling in to life following my move to Colombia in 2012. After yet another a break from Blogging, I am back, but with a change of emphasis, due to health problems, I have been spending less and less time in the workshop, so decided I either had to close the Blog, or revert to it's original use...a diary! So thats what I am doing, it feels good to be back.
