Yesterday, I managed to finish cleaning the tiles, although by the end, I was suffering, I have lost a lot of feeling in my right arm, I cant grip, or lift anything heavier than a plate, I have permanent pins and needles in my hand, and up my arm to my shoulder. There is no pain other than the aforementioned, it is just so very frustrating and limiting what I can do.
Marcela, as is her way, has spent ages researching this, and decided that it was ulnar nerve dysfunction, as all the symptoms matched.
I went to see my Doc today, for my regular Blood Pressure check up, whilst there he confirmed Marcela's diagnosis as my personal physician, and has given me an order to go for an electromyography which should determine whether this is a temporary problem or permanent, I certainly hope it is temporary, and the more temporary the better.
I am now supposed to rest up, but that's not going to happen, I find it hard to sit still for five minutes, I am going to have to find jobs that don't need much use of both hands, like dealing with those termites, which are still chewing through our ceiling unabated! That's a job for tomorrow.
The first three years of my Blog follow my journey settling in to life following my move to Colombia in 2012. After yet another a break from Blogging, I am back, but with a change of emphasis, due to health problems, I have been spending less and less time in the workshop, so decided I either had to close the Blog, or revert to it's original use...a diary! So thats what I am doing, it feels good to be back.
